DAVID RUBIN
Math Teacher
David grew up on Long Island, New York, and is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering at Purdue University. David’s early fascination with math led him to take on leadership roles on his schools’ Math Olympiad teams, and also become a student tutor through his school’s Math Honor Society chapter. During both his high school junior and senior years, David was nominated for the very prestigious American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) used to challenge bright students on the path toward choosing the team that represents the United States at the International Mathematics Olympiad.
David first began teaching in 2020 when he saw an opportunity to educate students interested in programming languages through his own online summer classes. To that end, he created a curriculum on rudimentary and advanced Java programming, and has been continuing to develop and teach it ever since. David is passionate about helping other students succeed, and continues to do so by tutoring his classmates in higher level math courses at Purdue.
David is no stranger to Golden Key Enrichment. He supported our online Math program as a Teacher’s Assistant for several years and now we are delighted to welcome him back in a bigger role as a Math Teacher.
During his free time, David enjoys participating in one of his hobbies, such as playing the violin or running. At Purdue, David continues his musical journey as a member of his college orchestra.
